Pancreatic Cancer does not belong to me nor to my Mother who was the 1st. Cancer victim in our family and the only with Pancreatic Cancer. Cancer belongs to all of us, it is up to us to help find a cure by putting the funds into the hands of researchers, Scientists.  If Cancer is not a personal concern now, it will be one day. You will know someone close to you, friend or family, that will be diagnosed with a type of Cancer. If I can shock you into the reality/severity of Cancer & what it does, I will. It  might save your life. CARE now and please support one or more of the Cancer Institutes, links to the sites are provided.

There is no cure.  I, like many,  had been under the impression that some Cancer types were curable. Our information is limited until we or a loved one is diagnosed with Cancer. Then, we must self educate to be one step ahead or along side the Oncologists and other Doctors involved to make sure all is done that can be done. Leaving one option out could make the difference between life and death. If you have a loved one now with Pancreatic Cancer or have been recently diagnosed with it, go here now! Tests: Blood work you should know about.

CA 19-9 assay
A test that measures the level of CA 19-9 in the blood. CA 19-9 is a tumor marker released into the bloodstream from both cancer cells and normal cells. Higher than normal amounts of CA 19-9 in the blood can be a sign of gallbladder or pancreatic cancer or other conditions.

CA-125
A substance sometimes found in an increased amount in the blood, other body fluids, or tissues and that may suggest the presence of some types of cancer.

To "Mama"

If I could wish upon a star . .
And make that wish come true . .
I would wish for one more day . .
To spend my life with you . .

I'd hold you safely in my arms . .
And pray we'd never part . .
Swap stories we never shared . .
Then just talk heart to heart . .

I'd make you laugh, tickle your sides . .
Drown in your smiling face . .
Snuggle up, so very close . .
To feel your warm embrace . .

If only stars somehow could feel . .
And wishes could come true . .
Love would be kind and grant to me. .
To have that day with you . .
